Choose The Right Light Bulbs
"To make your lighting more environmentally friendly, take a look at your bulbs. The powerful light of a 100-watt bulb does not suit a bedroom or a bright room. Watch your halogen lamp: it consumes as much energy as two washing machines over a year. Redirect your wall lights or general lighting that chiefly plays on the ceiling. For your garage, consider neon lights, which are as energy- efficient as compact fluorescent light bulbs. And if your are planning to do some painting, remember that light-colored walls make the best use of light, and require less artificial lighting."
