"Although computers use relatively little energy when they are in use, the combination of intensive manufacturing process and short lifespan put its lifetime environment-related energy impact about as equal to a refrigerator, which is near the top of the list of energy intensive home appliances. Use your computer for as long as possible, and when you finally get rid of it, donate of recycle it to keep it out of the waste stream."
